Resurfacing for the annual [community profile] snowflake_challenge!

Challenge #2

In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Hm, let me see.... I have a lot I would like to accomplish in theory, but I don't want to overwhelm myself and set myself up for failure. I tend to view my goals as all or nothing, which isn't the best. Maybe that should be my first goal?

1. Find a way to be flexible with myself and balance my real world obligations (ie. grad school) with my fannish and creative outlets. I tend to forsake one for the other.
2. Write an intro post--which was actually the first [community profile] snowflake_challenge prompt. I've been meaning to write one for a while, and I will probably do it once I'm done with [personal profile] snowflake challenge or if I have a lull between days. My profile is fine albeit short, but I should probably update my interests.
3. Sign up for [community profile] getyourwordsout and really commit to it.
4. Read at least 12 books this year but hopefully more. I read 11 books last year so a nice even 12 would be an improvement.
5. Post on DW at least once a month but aim for once a week ideally.
6. Exercise every day because it's good for my mental and physical health. I've done really well with this one already, but it's only five days into January.

That seems like enough for now. I can add more later if I feel like it. A lot of these echo my goals from last year, but I hope I can have better luck with them this time around. I *did* manage to socialize more last year, but most of it wasn't on DW. I also feel like I am in a better headspace this year, which bodes well.
