How Geocities webrings made the 90s internet a cozier place
I'm sure a lot of people also remember them. I got my first computer for Christmas of 1999 (around the time of the Y2K panic) and started surfing the internet regularly after that. I remember seeing a lot of anime webrings back then and may even have tried to join one with my crappy Pokemon site. I kinda miss web 1.0 because of stuff like this. I do not miss dial-up or having to wait an hour to download a song, but in my memory, it was such a simpler time.
