I got this from [personal profile] musesfool a few days ago, so I thought I'd get to it while I kill time waiting to go to a late lunch/early dinner/afternoon snack with my mom. I love these kinds of memes, so I'm glad they're coming back around again. I remember doing and seeing them on LJ back in the day. Just comment if you would like me to give you three random things to talk about.

Lemons: I used to drink a lot of lemonade but not so much anymore since I usually go for water (or soda if I'm in a particularly indulgent mood/craving the caffeine content). However, I *do* like a lot of lemon-flavored things. I wouldn't say it's my favorite flavor, but it's one of them. I especially like lemon squares and lemon poppy seed muffins. Yum.

Cows: Cows? They're actually pretty cute and peaceful-looking. I like cows more than I thought I did, but really, I love almost all animals. Of course, I don't like the smell, but I don't live in an area where I have to put up with it on a daily basis. It reminds me of the stink when we drove past farms during boring trips to the Central Valley to see my extended family. On the other hand, I also have positive memories of petting a calf at the county fair. I remember that they are softer than I was expecting.

I've seen several posts about the new Fruits Basket anime (which I need to watch wen I get the time), so I guess cows also remind me of Haru/the zodiac. Damn, it's been years since I've thought about Furuba...

Sparks: The first things to come to mind are the red sparks from Harry Potter and Pikachu! ^^; I love both of those associations. I also love watching the sparks in fireworks and gazing into a roaring fireplace. That's really all I have to say about sparks.

That was fun!

ETA: I completely forgot the other fannish meaning of lemons that refers to smutty fanfic. -_-; I do like those and have read many. IIRC, that term was used primarily by people who were in anime fandoms, and it migrated to other fandoms sometimes--especially Harry Potter. It was pretty much universal for anything smutty on Quizilla from what I remember. Do people still use this term? They also used to use lime for a lighter version, but I was never sure where the line was between lemons and limes. Either way, there was a whole lot of citrus going on. XD

I meant the fruit and only thought of the old fannish meaning later! *g*
