Happy Easter to all who celebrate and a relaxing Sunday to those who don't. I grew up celebrating Easter, but I haven't really felt in the mood this time around because of... you know... *gestures at the world* We need spring, renewal, and hope, but those things feel hard to come by right now. That said, I *did* have a fabulous brunch picked up from this restaurant I just found in Long Beach. I had a frittata, bacon, and french toast, so I'm reasonably happy. *_*
My work hasn't gone as well since I finished my last assignment. I took a break for a few days, but when I tried to start on the next assignment, my motivation started to go down the drain. It doesn't help that this assignment will be longer and more involved. Plus, I've kinda been avoiding/dreading it because I really don't feel like I know what I'm doing. It's a 15-20 page essay on The Picture of Dorian Gray and a literary theorist of my choice. Of course, I chose to write about Foucault. On the bright side, it's going to be a very queer essay--I just hope I have the skill to pull it off. I had a couple of false starts when trying to get back into it, but I gave up on Saturday and decided that I'll start in earnest (no Oscar Wilde pun intended!) on Monday. *crosses fingers*
I'm still stuck at home except for the occasional walk, and it's grating on me. Usually, I'm used to being home and like it, but it's different when there's no other choice.
Fortunately, I have some things to look forward to! I'm going to list them here for my own reference and in case anyone else is interested.
- Online Posture Correction and Massage Techniques workshop on April 13th at 6 PM.
- Good Omens episode 3 simulcast on April 14th at 7 PM BST.
- Disney Family Singalong on April 16th at 8 PM
- Special Edition Meditation on April 22nd at 3:00 PM
All times are PST, except for the BST. 1 and 4 are through my university. I thought there were more... I'll see if I can add more and links later.
Are there any fun online events that you are looking forward to? I'd love to hear about them!
